Pattern Notes
The placemat and napkin ring are worked flat in rows. The seeds are added to the napkin ring and then it is seamed to form a ring.
Turning chains do not count as stitches.
Space refers to the ch-1 sp from the previous row.
Do not break off yarn when changing colors. The unused yarn can be carried up the side and picked up when used again. The yarn carries will be covered when the edging is added.
If necessary, block placemat.

Rows 2-14: Sc in each st across, ch 1, turn.
After Row 14, continue to edging.
Napkin Ring Edging
Round 1: Sc in each st from Row 14 (5 sts), sc in the side st of each row (14 sts), sc into each st of the beginning chain (5 sts), sc in the side st of each row (14 sts), sl st to first st to join in the round – 38 sts. Fasten off, leaving a tail long enough to sew the two ends together.
Finishing
